    The Assertiveness Training Program can help you change your communication style to be more assertive. Increasing your assertiveness can improve:


    • Quality of relationships
    • Respect for self and others

    • Anxiety, resentment, and conflict

    Assertiveness is a style of communication that recognizes individual’s are in control of their own behaviour and can choose what they are willing (or not willing!) to do. Assertive communication allows one to honestly express our own thoughts and wishes to other people, without the expectation we will get our way. It also respects other people’s thoughts and wishes, without feeling the need to ‘give in’ when we do not agree. The Assertiveness Program helps teach individuals to adopt a more assertive communication style when dealing with friends, family, and people you work with. Most importantly, you will be given training exercises where you practice the skills in real-world situations. Assertiveness is about what you do, not who you are!
